Disadvantages Of Online Education!

Until now all I did was talk about the benefits of online education;all of that gives us less money. What we can get is just sitting relaxed in our home. But as we all know nothing comes without loss. If something gives you benefits and comfort, somewhere there must be something unfavorable and can be a little painful. Everything has a cost for that. Likewise online education.

One of the main weaknesses in online education is the lack of technical skills needed to pursue an online degree. Most people are still not very technologically advanced to overcome the methods used to make online education better. I do not mean that all students are not equipped with technology; however there are still a large number left. Even many lecturers and administrative staff themselves have difficulty running programs to teach or monitor students. Tutors, in particular, have obtained their degrees through traditional methods and most are not very experienced with gadgets.

Second, the most important thing an online student needs is a computer and internet connection. But people in regional and remote areas still do not have access to this commodity. It is quite expensive for them to buy a computer. In one place where online education helps students from various fields meet and study together, there at the same time it creates difficulties where a student cannot consult or discuss technical problems happening to him because he might not find anyone from his area.

Online course designers can sometimes mistakenly anticipate advances in computer technology. This results in courses developed for implementation on computers that are expected to be available in the future, but which are not available; (Alexander, S. (2001) Education and Training E-Learning developments and experiences Vol. 43, Issue 4/5, p.240.)

The cost of an online degree is not always very low as students think. Some degree may be more expensive than if taken traditionally because of the cost of multimedia accessories and materials involved in the syllabus. This fee can even leave the cost of accommodation and travel in local education. Online education can sometimes be very difficult to maintain. One reason why a student moves towards online education is a lack of time. He found it difficult to maintain a balance between work and school hours. But even if you study online you have to devote time to get grades and pass courses. In colleges and schools, students have set a time schedule. Whereas when studying online you have to manage your own time or all your efforts are in vain. Another big disadvantage that I calculated was the lack of interaction. Students have interacted with their tutors through the online learning system, people still cannot hear questions and discussions from other students during the lecture delivery. But nothing is truly free from loss. Online education also has several. Now it depends on the student how he organizes everything.
